I don’t know the kid or the situation. But relying on a “team” that is one rider and a few small sponsors is a rough way to go. Now, finance yourself, get results and he will find a real team.

Thanks for proving my point. Now they have sponsors not getting the exposure they paid for. Star could literally walk through the pits on Saturday morning and have no less then 20 guys willing to ride that bike for free. Would be a great story if they did.

Good to read some common sense. And remember, the backup rider only gets the bike and not the rest of the sponsors. So if he has Bob's graphics on his jersey, he keeps that. It has worked several times in the past so I'm not sure why its not common practice.
