I just finished doing one of the same year four my daughter. Depending on what your use for it is, hop on EBay and snag one of the $60.00 ones shocks. I have had several people tell me that they are decent and do not bottom out near as much as the stocker.

Have had a number of hubs powder and all turned out great. I would not recommend doing the spokes though.
