anybody in the zanesville area, heres a auction with old dirtbikes

Never go to auctions, Ive found most of my bikes in bone yards. Example: this 1971 Yamaha AT-1. $50 bux from the Onion King. Modded it a bit, raced it in AHRMA's first ever "classic" 125 class and won, un-modded back to stock and enjoy on street. Nuff said.

Mike, I don't remember anything about the drive there / back or even the race. Sux gettin old. That couldnt be Casey, Im thinking Budds Creek but if you say it was then I guess so. Jean Ramsey never had snow fence about the vintage track plus there is a house in the upper right...nothing...

    Vintage Shocks.....Experiences and Opinions please!

Man the memories are coming back to me. YEAH that WAS a 75 cylinder on it because the first engine I built for my friend he grenaded at the air strip he rode at in Sandusky, put the rod right out the bottom and wasted the cylinder. AHRMA put the nix on any elsinore cylinder that didn't have an...

    Vintage Shocks.....Experiences and Opinions please!

They were piggyback stockers of a Honda 125 1980 I think. One had the piggyback broken off so I wacked the other one off and just added a air valve for nitrogen. I modded the inners and on they went. Looks good in red. Did you earn that # 1 in AHRMA or some other series? FYI that up...

    Vintage Shocks.....Experiences and Opinions please!

No 479 are all mine. 526 Was a completely different bike I built for the late Rick Phillips. I did use works perf shocks (As seen on the bike with the red fender in the pic) the good thing about them is they are made for your weight and the bike, that way you get the proper shock body/shaft...

    Vintage Shocks.....Experiences and Opinions please!

I can only comment on vintage not post vintage sshocks. Ive used them all and to me and my style of riding, I don't think any of the aftermarket shocks were any better than the stock 1974 Honda 125 shocks. On my 250 honda and hoosks I used old cerianni's. People will argue about...

    Smith Rd Raceway

I suggest a track owner invest in a sound meter, take readings on ride/race day (note wind direction and velocity) Simple things like re routing exhaust exit direction away form neighbors may take some of the sting out of the noise...

In 1994~1996 AHRMA hosted some really nice tracks such as Unadilla, Southwick, Honda Hills, Road Atlanta, Hollister and Budds Creek. You are in for a treat, I can remember sitting on the line waiting for the ok to practice, looking at the handle bar high tall grass and huge rocks. What a...
