Pro/Ams in Ohio? Where’d ya go

I guess I’m just wondering why we seem to have lost the Pro/Am portion of the same events being held. Pretty much thinking of king of the cliff and Chillitowns shootout.

Pro/Ams in Ohio? Where’d ya go

Any reasoning why we seem to have lost a couple good Pro/Ams in Ohio? For as much as our state seems to be affiliated with the AMA I’d think we’d secure a couple rounds on the schedule pretty easily as we have in the past with King of the Cliff(this weekend) and Chillitowns July race*. (*Edit to...

    I dig it, looks legit

    The Speed Farm?

It’s definitely fun. I consider it to be more difficult compared to most tracks, with lots of potential for good training on trickier sections. I’d say like an A/B track

    OMA Potential Class Changes

Did you just describe running 2 classes together, with separate results and separate awards, eliminating the point of running 2 classes together?

    OMA Potential Class Changes

I always hated running classes off the same gate if they aren’t my competition. Quite a few times 250 and open A have run together, and I’ve been the only open guy. Obviously I’m still racing whoever’s on the gate, but it’s a kick in the nuts when they get paid out and I don’t. Racing someone is...

    OMA Potential Class Changes

It’s a great idea. More riders on the gate is always a good thing

    2021 LL Schedule Posted

I’ll be hitting it. My buddy’s wedding is Saturday in Orlando, so how could I resist? Definitely the earliest race I’ve ever hit, and looks to be 90°. Should be a nice wake up call to get my ass in gear.

    LL National Classes

I can see it making sense to add some vet classes with the 3 regional format now. C class is gonna be a slippery slope for a lot of people though. I dig it, gives a lot of people a fighting chance at it. Also the addition of 35+ is nice. Hopefully they are expanding their parking at the ranch

    Mobius X8 Wrist Brace

I’ll add that while it does a great job at overall stability, it didn’t quite hit the side to side stability I needed at first, so I was wearing a wrist cuff under the mobius for the first couple weeks back on the bike. Mind you, I should NOT have been riding at all during this time, but my...

    Mobius X8 Wrist Brace

I got one for my wrist injury this year. I’ve tried every cheap option and they just don’t cut it the same. It’s legit and it allowed me to get back on the bike and race comfortably earlier this year. It offers noticeable support without much limitation at all, no arm pump issues from...

Helmets, now accepting your 2 cents.

Shoei Evo is a great helmet. Haven’t found anything like it as far as fitment on my head goes. Wore the vfx-r for years and started wanting a helmet with a little newer technology behind it, the Evo answered my call(fits just like the vfx-r as well). The helmet liner can be finicky to snap into...

    Baja

Hoosier sand tire is worth a look. You’ll still have decent traction in those areas with it. And the tire holds up a bit longer than their regular offerings since you are using it in sand primarily.

Who is going to the Brawl?

And gate fees are $70-$150, plus camping fees. They don’t do that for normal racing. Oh and you’re limited to 8 “crew members” per campsite(not spectators for the national of course). I’ll stick with Vet fest and the Brawl

    Amateur Racing at Loretta Lynn's

If it gets moved, it turns into a different amateur national. Sure that’s new and exciting, but it would no longer be Loretta’s.

    Amateur Racing at Loretta Lynn's

That’s good to hear. Wouldn’t want to see it go anywhere else.

    Amateur Racing at Loretta Lynn's

An age is an age. I was complaining that the Loretta’s amateur day classes are B/C only(this thread was about LL). I think Vet classes should be open skilled. So yeah removing “a” riders in Vet is removing competition, especially when they aren’t having Vet A classes. Just because I sign up in...

    Amateur Racing at Loretta Lynn's

There were definitely some 14 year old vet riders at Chillitown Vet practice should be limited to 32 plus, maybe 33 next year.

    Amateur Racing at Loretta Lynn's

It’s whatever. I put a lot of effort in to not make it this year and I feel like the effort is totally diluted. I’m sure you get that. I do understand both sides though. Hell I told all the friends they should go race the Am day. I sure it’ll be a blast and a great experience. I’d be signed up...
