Was planning on Grears AHRMA race today but baled due to rain in the forecast. Now just waiting for reports of track being perfect :)

Due to the MO rain curse that seems to happen on at least one race day...I never pre-enter as I don't want to get locked into riding in the mud. I suck more than usual in the mud! If the weather cooperates might ride my 84 RM250 in the 60+ class.

There's still some useful nuggets on vital that make it worth wading thru the crap :) Did win the pro-taper 12 days of Christmas contest this year which included sprockets, chain, EVO handlbars / pad and clamp on grips. I pretty much post there like I do here...kinda infrequently.

Maybe RT 62's pics of Wednesday's practice ruts scared the vets off :) Don't agree with Hershey's comment that its not motocross racing unless it's rutted. Corners rutting up a bit are fine but having to get locked into long deeps ruts on straights or jump faces and jump landings are no fun...

Some fans of rut-o-cross slot bike riding here in this thread:) . I'm old and personally, I hate riding a rutted up track...probably has a lot to do with me sucking at riding ruts. Especially when jump faces and landings are nothing but deep ruts. Watching national races where the track is...

One confusing thing..I had thought there was now a noise ordinance in effect out there?

Sorry, not certain of the exact bend anymore ... only know they're pro-tapers and usually go for a flatter bend with less sweep.

Have gone with a few different kinda looks on my old 2006 YZ250 which is still my daily rider. Also tried out an aluminum tank made by a company in England that allowed the more modern looking 4 stroke radiator shrouds to work but that had more of an angular look that I wasn't wild about...

Grears in Zanesville which just opened this year. Awesome elevation changes that you won't find at any other tracks in the area and track is about 40 foot wide in some spots. Makes good use of the elevation changes for downhill and uphill jumps. They're having gobs of mulch brought in on a...

Sadly sold...but needed the funds for a new truck. Big props to the yo-yo that claimed he'd be picking it up on memorial day weekend at a discounted price and then wasted my time by not letting me know he was gonna be a no show. Never fails when selling something ...to be expected I guess.
