I only made it out 3x last year so my opinion doesn't carry much weight but thought it was a great layout. Thought the S turns were a great change from the high speed jump straight but then I tend to prefer tighter to wide open fast.

It's still a good thing. I wasn't crazy about the track that went across the road, odd jumps and it was a dust bowl. I'm not sure who came up with the joke the one year about the dust..."when you hit a cooler in the pits, you knew you were off the track" ...LoL The mx track for the last few...

Just one thought on a used YZ250. If going that route, best to go one year later with a 2006 or later...SSS suspension started in 2006.

Ahh...today I looked for the spot on the AMA banquet form where you can have your award mailed to you instead of paying the $75 for the banquet. Yeah that option isn't very frugal either...AMA will mail you the award for a meager $22.00. Kinda sad that they feel the need to squeeze that much...

For the Camp Cattail event...is it possible to reconsider the criteria used to consider what bikes are considered post vintage vs modern? The flyer last year indicated : Post-Vintage = 1975 - 1982 Modern = 1983 - 1998 If a "like type of design" type of rule is considered...popular...

Wow my reading comprehension must be lacking...I've never noticed the spot on the form to have the trophy mailed instead of attending the banquet. Mike, I totally understand where you're coming from...hope you didn't think my comment about racing vintage for just the fun of it was directed at...

In addition to that piece of paper that comes in the mail, believe an invite/invoice for the banquet comes with it. Never paid to attend the banquet, but isn't there another trophy that's given to the folks who pay to go to the banquet? Don't guess there's a way to just pick that sucker up...

The return of the pit bike race...cool! Back in the day, you used to have some sort of vet class pit bike moto (can't remember if it was 30+ or 40+) do you think there will that kinda class this weekend?
