I had a similar situation after a rebuild on a YZ250 and talked to Tim Shepard down at the Lancaster Yam shop about it. Of all things, he suggested changing the spark plug cap as he had seen some Yamaha caps go bad. Turns out for my situation, the new spark plug cap fixed it! Good luck!

Regarding the last minute track changes to remove a majority of the jumps after the first practice was a disappointment for me. To each his own, but in my opinion it turned a fun track into a track that had waaaay too LONG of a straights that were way too high speed with no jumps to slow things...

I didn't race the series but just wanted to say that in regards to slowing down the back straight with the S-turns at BC...I very much liked that, gives a person more of a chance to practice slower speed tight turns with some ruts.
