    Powder Coating in Cleveland

Hands down Ace Powdercoating in Canton. I used to HATE powdercoat. The job these guys do is the best I've ever seen, and the most durable. Great color that's equal to paint IMO. Ya won't go wrong with these cats. Not cheap though. A frame was $239. --L*64

    Best aftermarket radiators?

I'm helping my bud work with his '98 RM250. The radiators on it could be fixed, but are basically junked IMO. I see those aftermarket pieces on Ebay all the time, but have never had any experience with them. Who knows anything about which ones are good? --L*64

    mayor Jackson

Instead of Urban Gardens, maybe Frank'll put a MX track in the city? Hahaha! Honestly-- if it WAS Frank Jackson at Malvern, I think it's pretty cool really. I see the wild a***s on the streets of Cleveland all the time, and I've always thought that some of the riders have alot of talent. Maybe...

    Question for smith road

I think the gas thing has always been a problem. I remember George telling me he dealt with it years ago. Are they causing an "eminent domain" stink again? --L*64

    OLD SCHOOL... 1981/82 CRA Banquet

Dave- You've got a sweet "porn" stache going there! I think I see Craig Smith third from the right in the front there? --L*64

KX 85 Big Wheel Laced On Small Wheel Hubs

I dunno. The swingarm and linkage part can't be more than $100 bucks on Ebay. I'd just do it right in all honesty. Also-- you probably don't know this, but the KX100 frame is slightly longer near the head tube in front of the tank. --L*64

    Winter Projects Re-re-re-re-visited

Ya. This thread is staring to stink with all these bicycles. On the other hand, anybody here know anything about a Schwinn Stingray, or Banana Peeler- 5 speed? I had a sparkly green '68 Stingray as my first bike. We got it at a garage sale for $15 back in the '70's. As a childhood disciple of...

"Car Enthusiast Condos" in Broadview Hts.-- Hmmmm!!

What's up Gang!! Happy to have made it through another winter, and have been prodding Pit to get busting ass on some cool dirt bike related projects! I've talked about this many times, but it seems like there's a developer doing the damn thing-- at least on a car lover's level. They're building...

Anybody ever have a frame re-stamped with matching numbers?

That 144 is aluminum though- right? That's a lot easier to stamp than steel.

Anybody ever have a frame re-stamped with matching numbers?

I'd weld over the old numbers, and grind the weld smooth so it would basically be a frame w/o numbers. I don't want to do a plate because it's not original, and it would be incredibly easy to just take off in the event the bike was stolen. I want it just as original.

Anybody ever have a frame re-stamped with matching numbers?

This is mostly for vintage guys who restore bikes. I'm wondering if anybody has ever had vin numbers welded over, ground down, and re-stamped somehow? I THINK the VIN is stamped on the head tube before it's actually formed when it's a flat piece of metal. If the frame is steel, I'm thinking...

Calling VET261! Almost free vintage RM's in your backyard

Hey! What's up with all these cheap RM's? I kinda want this one more than that '87 in the other thread.

    1988 RM125

He only wants 400 bucks for it? I kinda want it. Looks like a Works shock in the pic?

I wanted to go, but they didn't have a class for my bigger 150F in the pit bike race. --L*64

    Spoke nipple oil? Exhaust paint?

I saw on the heat shield thread a couple posts down the actual can. Is 1200 degrees enough on an air cooled 4 stroke? --L*64

BEST and WORST bikes you ever owned??

I feel great about that! I could easily see that '82 YZ125 being a POS! It had that weird radiator setup that was behind the front plate. Those early '80's bikes were just getting around to figuring out liquid cooling, so it's like the radiator and associated plumbing were after thoughts. I can...

    Spoke nipple oil? Exhaust paint?

I was looking at grill paint, but I want something that'll stand up to chemicals, gas, etc. Did that Lowe's paint hold up over time? About that Cool It paint-- where did you get it, and what color/finish matched the RM exhaust? Damn I don't want a m/c exhaust in my oven though!! I've had...

BEST and WORST bikes you ever owned??

Hey Spacecat-- Did you guys buy that '95 KX125 from me at the end of 1995? Did your dad ride too? --L*64

    Spoke nipple oil? Exhaust paint?

So I'm hot and heavy into a dirt bike project right now, and I have a couple questions. First off-- what type of oil should be used on spoke nipples when building a wheel? Does somebody sell something specifically for this purpose? I have some idea about how to tackle just about every aspect of...
