Try unhooking the kill switch as they can go bad or does this have a key? Clean off the rust, take the coil off & clean the rust from the area where it mounts to the frame as I think some may ground that way & think rusty motor mounts can do the same thing. Look for parts on e-bay.

Gaernes SG10 are a great boot for me, my all time favorite & the bottoms hold up very well also. Think mine are size 11....may sell my gear but not quite ready even though my racing days are done.

Dam that is a good idea as I can't ride or cut the grass right but may go dump some Golden Spectro in the mower tank so when my wife mows it will smell like the races! I never mix oils as oil is very cheap & motors are not.

TPMX, wish I was on the +50 gate with you next spring but two auto accidents on 7-09 & 2-12 have sadly ended racing for me long before I was ready. Always enjoyed talking to you at the track & am sure you will have more fun than you think by starting to race again so go for it while you can...

mooch, There is nice looking 81 440 on Mark's for $5,200 & in your area. Not the brute the 490 is but I had a 1980 440 & think you may like it even better as that is a sweet motor! Looks like about all it needs is a set of wide pegs. Maico Mark

Only one question...when is the fullfast bus departing? I could use a season ticket for this halffast party bus as like you said be injured has you going stir crazy after a while as I am always looking at 2 vintage bikes wanting ridden & 2 more waiting to be finished one of these years.
