I put my old GoPro on the top of my helmet...the view is decent when adjusted properly. Unfortunately, no image stabilization with the old model! Thinking about getting a new helmet cam soon. Let me see if I can get a link to work showing a lap at Sandusky Valley Rider's from the May MX.
Temperature looks close to 60 by Sunday, some sunshine and no rain (snow)...should be nice for riding. The hare scramble course is usually really fun for the first spring race. It starts out a little tricky the first lap or two, then some nice lines start showing up. The dirt is fantastic in...
So other tracks do tell riders (or announce...or something) that the official transponder finish line is located at "X"...so all riders should know ahead of time (in theory). I don't remember hearing about where the timing line is at the transponder races I've attended, but it very well could...
So Reed finished the race because he made it past the OFFICIAL finish line...which is somewhere other than the top of the "finish jump"...& is unknown to us viewers and seemingly not exactly known to Chad Reed (judging from his post race interview). Is this all explained to the riders before...
Unfortunate the dates work out like this. After attending both events in 2017...I'm leaning toward AMAVMD...and after only spending one day there this year, my plan for 2018 is...go for the whole thing.
I enjoyed seeing my lap times & seeing everyone elses "fast" times. My first moto times dropped about a second every lap...that seemed positive. I did not get my second moto (it was a little slippery by then...near the end of the day), but I will check that out also. I'm happy with my $6...
"I also think Kawasaki has found something with their set-up. Both Tomac and J. Grant were the only ones whose bikes were settled on that gnarly track."
"Absolutely unreal. They ride rough tracks like I could ride on a straight highway with slicks.
Anyone else watch the suspension soak up the...
My understanding is (...I am a member at SVR...) no sanction, no cards required. $5 gate fee for all adults and kids that are racing...other kids are free. Sign up usually is open right up 'til the parade lap starts...but I would get signed up before that. The barrel race is going to use the...
Hmmm....it seems like most places do refund the $10 if you leave BEFORE race day...but I do not know the answer to your question. Maybe someone else will chime in?
Vet classes from a list I looked at in the SVR clubhouse are: 25+, 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+ and 60+...a veritable Vet Fest! In years past, SVR pays 40% cash for vet classes...or maybe you could make a deal on a t-shirt or something.
SVR is a bike only racetrack. Saturday is a practice day, $25 per rider...there is a gate fee ($10) that will be collected starting Friday night...that gate fee is for the whole weekend. Racing Sunday, $25/first class...A classes pay 200%, that's a great deal for expert riders!
Oh yea...no...
Gates Open 8 AM

This is the final "OPEN" practice at SVR. The second MX race will be 2 wks later on the 22nd of June (no Saturday practice). I'm mostly sure your practice fees can be applied to a full membership if...
I saw the top part of the track last night...it looked pretty good. Here's a link to a member's practice footage from last weekend.
Sandusky Valley Rider's is about 7 miles south of Tiffin OH (232 CH37 in Wyandot county).

Free years membership...great idea! Random class pick...also fantastic. I may run two classes (and up my chances). If I win, can I take the year off of working?
