RV2 to race in Europe next year

I don't understand why everyone compares the top pro's when they didn't enter their professional career at the same time. MC and RC are IMPOSSIBLE to truly compare apples to apples because they both peaked at different times. They both are in the record books as two of the greatest racers ever...

    Red Bud jumps. The numbers

Back in 04 it was 4th gear damn near tapped on a 450....ah to be young and dumb again....never did it on the smoker.

red bull straight rhythm.. quote from stewart.

I like that the class format opens the door for guys to build specific open class bikes like Pastrana's for this. My question is will it really be an advantage? Maybe right off the start if he can keep the front wheel on the ground but once you are in the rhythm sections I don't think it will...

red bull straight rhythm.. quote from stewart.

Pastrana is about to steal the show on this beast... http://motocross.transworld.net/1000166518/features/pastrana-red-bull-straight-rhythm/?sm_id=social_20140910_31389606 This is going to be really fun to watch.

Help! I want a mountain bike

On most modern bikes, yes you can. In my opinion, even though you lose a little pedaling efficiency on the full suspension, all it's really doing is making you stronger! Unless you are racing...

    A Bad Sunday at Briarcliff

Easy....you made your point already and now you are kind of speculating. I agree with the safety hazard, however if all of you feel so passionately that he should not be on the track with your kids, yet no-one had the balls to talk to the driver in a calm respectable manner about maybe sticking...

Help! I want a mountain bike

I'm 29 and still want nothing to do with a hard tail lol, what does that make me!? However I have broken 4 vertebrae in my back so I can at least use that as an excuse.

    What kind of bike?

Help! I want a mountain bike

Yea I'm the same way, with moto though I try to keep my bikes pristine and usually have a decent number of aftermarket parts so that I can at least not lose a ton of money when I sell it. That's why I went through my buddy at Tree Fort Bikes when I bought my mtn bike. With his discount it...

Help! I want a mountain bike

I hear ya, but if you like moto, you are going to like mountain bikes. Personally I like going the route of buying something I know I will be happy with for a while and not have to feel like I need to upgrade, and unfortunately that was a full-suspension, which is going to be at least 1500...

Help! I want a mountain bike

I'm with ya! I've blown out both my achilles tendon's and my ankles can't take the abuse from running. Definitely check out ohio singletracks website. Updates on trail conditions, forums, bikes, it's a great resource. Jay I see you're from North Ridgeville, Findley/Medina are probably the...

Help! I want a mountain bike

I would definitely agree. You are going to want a large size (20") frame. If you go with a typical 26" wheel you might even want to go to an x-large so it's a little more stable. I'm the same height and ride a large 650B bike and it fits like a glove. (650B = 27.5" wheels) Do some research...

Help! I want a mountain bike

How tall are you? Be careful when looking at used bikes that you are looking for the proper sized frame for your height.

Help! I want a mountain bike

Sturd makes a good point I forgot to mention. A lot of the newer full suspension bikes have Climb, Trail, Decent modes on the shock. When on the road you can switch it to climb and it locks out the suspension, makes road riding much more feasible. Bang for your buck I've always liked Giant...

Help! I want a mountain bike

Unfortunately you are describing three different types of bikes that you want. Rays-if you plan on doing anything other than putting some laps on the cross country line and not jumping, then my advice is to just rent their Trek Ticket, the dirt jumper/pump track style bike (26 in wheels...

    Yellow flags? Why bother

If you open a track, I cannot wait to get there and experience the heavenly situations you describe. However...better make it one hell of an opening, because if it's not perfect you know there are some A class keyboard crunchers on here that are going to tear you a new one!

    Open Practice vs Sessions

Terrible news, thoughts and prayers to the family of that child. No doubt this will raise some attention to splitting practice into sessions as well as parents being logical about putting their kids out on the track with the big bikes.

    Go Pros

I would recommend going with the 3. It's amazing the difference in clarity and video quality just from the Hero 2 vs. the Hero 3. Also if you plan on recording your son from a third person view so he can watch his technique, the 3 has much better slow-mo capabilities than the 2. The...

    KTM 2 Stroke Premix

+1 for Klotz and VP...although I can't justify buying VP anymore since I'm hardly racing. Oil is oil and I agree with Timsr90, but Klotz gets my vote over and over, been using it for years at 50:1, and lets face it, it's the best smelling 2-stroke oil out there!
