Bike ban proposed near Pittsburg PA.

The ordinance they are trying to pass says farm and lawn maintenance equipment are exempt. I think I could find something not on their banned list to stir the pot! There is a lot of loud dirt stirring loud equipment I can get my hands on to piss off the neighbors. I agree though, that normal...

Bike ban proposed near Pittsburg PA.

I wonder what started this? I'm sure it has to do with some irritated neighbor. (fun sucker) I bet those same people want smaller government.

    Stolen Bikes

From Hillside Facebook: It was going to be one last hurrah for Dan Heeter and his son Brady. They were hoping to race the final race at Malvern MX in Ohio. They both got a great practice session in on Saturday and decided to stay near by at the Red Roof Inn. Excited to race on Sunday morning...

    vetfest

I think this is the one even worth taking at least one vacation day! We usually take 2 so we can make the drive on Thursday.

    DC vet championship.

I wonder if that is a typo and it is supposed to be a 2 stroke class? Why would there be a 4 stroke class?

This pretty much a vet rider must read

Great article. That video just solidifies in my mind why it takes me so long to get the nerve to hit a jump for the first time, that is exactly what I fear. And I think it is more likely to happen to me than these guys who have been riding 30 years. When it gets to this time of year, I'm...

Multiple classes with a split gate drop

Heck, I don't care, send me off on the 4th drop I'll go when I'm told and race whoever is near me! What I was having a hard time with was driving 1-1/2 hours, paying gate fees, AMA, PAMX and going home with only 6 laps on the track and a few practice laps. It felt like a wasted and expensive...

Multiple classes with a split gate drop

At the OIR pro day I got lapped by Gibson. He was in 30 and I was in 30C. Kind of sucked not to get my last lap in. Talk about having a full range of skill sets out on the track at the same time!! Pro all the way down to beginners! I don't usually get lapped if I'm on a second drop, but it...

    Role Models or Bad Influence??

I'm pretty sure most of the pro's wear some sort of under the jersey protection don't they? Except for when it is a particularly rocky track, some will pull out the over the top roost protectors. Maybe some of the kids 'think' the pro's don't wear anything but a jersey, but I really doubt that...

Buying a bike without a title

Don't know for sure. Stolen bikes were not insured. I thought home owners covered them when they are in the garage. I was wrong. Now I have everything insured. I'll have to ask my agent next time we're talking, about the proof of ownership thing.

Buying a bike without a title

Also, I've had two bikes stolen (at same time). One had a title the other didn't. Didn't seem to matter to the thieves or the police. All the police needed was VIN number and some sort of proof of ownership. The bill of sale had the VIN # and was adequate.

Buying a bike without a title

I'm with the no-title crowd. Pretty much just a way for the state to get tax from you. Check the VIN before you buy, then don't worry about the title or giving the state more money for something that has already been taxed.

    Behind the Dream:Episode 4

I love this series. This week's show made it look like you have to start in grade school in order to stand a chance. I have a hard time with the parents that think their kid needs to decide their calling at age 6. Deegan and Reed are a little different. Their whole lives revolve around mx.
