I use plain on wheel bearing grease on the rim of the airfilter and with the kerosene it comes out really easily. I too didn't think the grease was to seal the filter to the airbox as much as catching a little more of the stuff that might get in around the edge. Honestly washing in kerosene...

wbecker mentioned something is his post that I didn't in mine. After cleaning with kerosene I always put the filter through a wash or two with hot soapy water and then a final hot rinse to get everything out.

I'm running the IMS Pro Series pegs on my KX 500. They are wider than stock and plenty strong. I bent the stock ones after a few jumps but these IMS units are still straight.

what about trying to find a KTM 380, all the torque of a 500 but alot narrower and lighter feeling. I'm not giving up my KX 500 but a KTM 380 would be a cool second bike. I still want a CR 500 too.

I am wanting to stiffen up the forks on my KX 500. According to the Race Tech site I need a .57kg fork spring. I think the largest they list is .5kg. I should probably just call them but was wondering if anyone on here knows where to find heavier fork springs. Thanks. :)
