John suckered in haha I get what your saying. We just haven't had a valid argument to buy them. We are planning on going to chillitown regardless of the rental cost. $15 is a pretty reasonable price. Even for all three battles it would be $45 each on rental.

My husband and I are both ama members but i still have no desire to buy a transponder. Between mx and flat track we raced 32 races last year and never once needed a transponder so i dont see the value in buying one.

I have thought about buying transponders until I realized you have to pay a fee for them every year so what is the sense in buying one to use once or twice a year. We generally don't run the LL stuff because of the expense of it. We can run a bazillion other cool races that are way cheaper...

Not sure I am a huge fan of this. I like the idea and understand it could be a huge help for the ladies in scoring but at red bud we paid $40 for a rental so that's another $80 for the weekend. I know this sport is expensive but the battle of ohio is a sweet series, don't make it as expensive...

DTS-akron will you report back on the price on the u4.4. we are running that in our flat track bikes and I would love to run it in our mx bikes but not in the budget for all 4 bikes.

They tried those once a few years back and they were a bust. Looks like they have revamped them and they don't look nearly as bulky.
