If you get a kawasaki youll be checking fork air pressure every ride or moto ive heard, and will still probably want a revalve. KTM has all the power you can want, just not as instantly as the KX. IMO if you are revalving or buying a fork air pump it will be the same as having the suspension...

i cross referenced all the pegs in tucker rocky book and none cross over to your 2002 model its a bastard year i guess. MSR makes some decent pegs that are 55mm wide in stainless.
make sure the seals are put in the correct direction so water and dirt cannot be pushed in easily and dnt pressure wash the linkage directly. maybe try some good grease as suggested by KX02, i always use a half/half of belray waterproof grease and honda molybedenum 60 paste. the moly keeps...
