Since selling my bike a few years ago, I really miss my dirt friends. That's a big reason that I still volunteer at COCR. But I will admit, that I've gained a lot of street friends in the last several years, so I can't complain. My wife see's me browsing dirt bike classified ads all of the time...

Way back when, COCR used to have the opening Spring Series race each year at the end of March, beginning of April. I remember more than a few times that there was snow on the ground.

I've been to a few Nascar, Indy 500, and others, and I will say without the sound/smell of the motors, I ain't goin'. Same with MX/SX.

Be prepared for traffic. We love the Lake Hope Lodge and the Eclipse Company Store for grub. For some reason they're cutting the trees back from the road down that way, so not nearly as nice as it was. All of the main attractions are cool (Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Rock House, Old Mans Cave) ...
