    It's Regional Time!

I totally get it! I've always been able to do it, and always had the money too. But after almost 45 years of racong, I don't have anything to prove. Maybe when they get that 60 class I'll go........probably not. I totally agree about the couch.

    It's Regional Time!

If you can't do that locally, I guess you need to fill up your RV and drive 5 hours.

    It's Regional Time!

Ck1, I'm with you. I don't get it either, but that's what they want. After not going for 28 years to LL's, I decided to do a qualifier and go this year. Too me, it was everything wrong with racing. 3 red cross flags in the plus 50 class and I was down both motos in those medlies with half...

    It's Regional Time!

Fosnock showed up in '89 in an old Chevy pickup truck from 1976 or so and a enclosed trailer made of plywood. He passed us on I 81 somewhere in Tenn. and I laughed to my brother, jokingly, that that dude was going to Loretta's. The trailer was coming apart. I was joking big time for 30...

    VMD Update...

Sounds like I need to pick up a bike to do this and Unidilla. I'm told the place is great. I would like to find a good 1982 rm 250 to race that evolution stuff. Or a YZ 465.

    125 Dream Race

40 riders huh? And 41 for the lights? Wow! There's not gonna be any 250 F racing soon if what is happens keeps going down. Lots of pros riding 125s, so maybe that's why the 250F class was down........ Bummer.

    Pro racing and attendance?

Nascar doesn't seem to be doing great either..........

    Pro racing and attendance?

Yeah. All the guys at Club are either going to Europe or Canada or waiting on a ride. Some guys like Wentland kinda retired and work for old pros like May. Weird times for a pro motocross kid today......

    Pro racing and attendance?

What is every ones take of only 41 riders for a 40 rider gate in 250's and 50 riders for a 40 man gate in the 450 class for the opening round? Spectator count looked thin too...........

    (not) MADE IN CHINA

Sidi boots are very well made. Those screw on soles don't last long and you need to buy some screws when replacing the screws. Also, when you kick dirt around the toes and heal sometimes gets dirt wedged in them between the sole and boot. The new Gen 3 Sidis will fix some of these problems...

Should we hit the emergency button??

That's a problem I mentioned at the beginning of the thread. It's a " precived expensive" thing. If we had cheap brand new bikes, nobody would buy. They say they would, but they don't. We had a shop till about 10 years ago. Kids want a GXSR 1000. Not a 500. If they don't qualify for the...

Should we hit the emergency button??

The world is changing. Always does. The bikes and racing aren't cool to young people today. People have wised up and found that there is much less a future in this sport than pro football. And pro football is having trouble keeping eyeballs. So what's a short term solution? More band aides...

Should we hit the emergency button??

Breezwood Proving Grounds rents bikes. Google them and ask how much and how insurance works. Just small ones like XR100 and smaller. Foo foo bikes. That's a good idea. They have three tracks going on at once, and one is a dedicated beginner track Back in the day, like mid 70's , a track...

Should we hit the emergency button??

Exactly Georgie Porgie! The mentality has changed for people under 25! It's a tough task, and they have been told all their life that this is the cool thing to do, just like playing outside was a cool thing to do in my lifetime...... It's gonna be tough to grow the sport. Whoever comes up...

Should we hit the emergency button??

Our society has changed do much, I'm not sure there is an easy answer. It is a very daunting problem. I'm just throwing out things that may help, and things I see that will be tough to overcome. Money, time, commitments and social stigma has to be all overcome. Motocross had a tough road to...

Should we hit the emergency button??

The stick and ball sports are all off as well. Participation is 30-50 % off per capita compared to 20 years ago. Many reasons for this from money, time , stigma, other commitments, to people just not socializing with others ( not knowing your next door neighbor) and some parents just don't the...

Should we hit the emergency button??

The demographics have changed. Immensely. This has been a hot topic everywhere on FB and on the web in different districts. 1). We need newbie friendly tracks. The big triples have to go to the pros. They need to go to SX, AX and outdoors. Not at the grassroots level. The only people...
