You can switch motors just not frames. Actually you can switch frames if you get the reason approved by the ama (broken frame) now the reason for switching motors I think is obvious they didn't want it looked at.

Yeah there's no way they are gonna do away with area qualifiers... that makes them more and definitely helps support the local scene. I guess I didn't realize it was little bikes, youth and then amateur/vet. He said Daytona has some challenges but felt good about it.

My 2 cents... overall it was an awesome experience! Yes you have a huge advantage if you've been there before! I made up my mind I was gonna do everything on the first lap after the sight lap, well it doesn't work that way, things start happening fast, ruts on faces, people getting squirrelly...

This would make more sense, just can't imagine them ruining the tradition for any other reason. We've all heard daveys story of his dad wanting a fair event for everyone and keeping it that way a million times! If this turns out to be true it definitely makes my effort and commitment priceless!

tech 7 is a great boot for the money, zero break-in however if you ride a lot they breakdown rather quickly. I hate paying big bucks for gear but helmet and boots to me are most important. I'm sold on tech 10's and the m10 carbon helmet.
