Sounds like something's plugged to me. I'd go thru the carb again with a fine tooth comb. Shoot every passage with carb cleaner, then blow it out with air. Double check the float level and the jets for crap. Blow the fuel line out, and make sure the petcock is flowing. Kevin

    Mid-Ohio Plans

You're welcome. The offer stands and I'd expect you to run the hell out of it. If it's going to break it'll break no matter who is on it, no big deal. I'm hoping that it rains itself completely out before VMD. The 360 melted down a piston on Saturday in '13 with a half a lap to go while...

    Mid-Ohio Plans

Bring your gear, Mike. My son's going to race the MX360 in vintage open B/C. You're welcome to ride it in Vintage 40+ or something. You can run it in the HS if you want to, also. The bike's tight and right and has lots of motor. It puts that stupid lookin grin on your face every time you ride it.

I'll be there Thursday morning/noon. We'll be in the same place, first spot as you enter the main campground. I thought about moving back to the woods, but that site provides so much entertainment I'm going to stay there. We've had some of the same neighbors for years. So if you see this rig...

VMD Three Moto Format for Motocross

Good, See you there. Do your bikes need a lot of work, Mike? We had the MX360 out in the yard last night tearing it up. It's ready. I have to change the oil in the motorhome and tinker with it a little and it's ready. Tickets, golf cart and motorhome passes are in hand. I'm very ready.

VMD Three Moto Format for Motocross

Your '81 KX is EV3. Mine isn't going to make it again this year. Needs too much work. We'll be there on the trusty MX360, though. Really looking forward to it. Anyone have a spare set of cases laying around for an '80-'81 KX250? Kevin

    Roach CZ's in the classifieds

I've been wanting to do a euro bike, but I have 3 bikes and a 63 Galaxie fastback apart in my garage now, along with 3 running bikes. I have to keep telling myself there's no more room! Sure seems like a decent deal, though. Maybe if I move stuff around a little..........

    New guy to old bikes

I'm surprised they wouldn't or couldn't make right for you, Mooch, they had to have made hundreds of shocks for the YZ's. You'd think they'd have them figured out. I put the Works shock on my '81 KX250 and it was/is excellent. Set the sag, adjusted the compression and it was off to the races...

    New guy to old bikes

I'd suggest Works shocks and Race Tech's emulators and springs in the forks. I have them in both my bikes and they really work good. I have a Works shock on one of them and have been real happy with it. The Vintage bike may have to wait until next year for it's Works shocks but it will get a...

Saying goodbye to my favorite motocrosser of all time...RIP 754

So sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad almost 10 years ago and not a day goes by without me thinking of him and smiling.

    After Battle Review

Well said. I'm an outsider looking in and from reading the posts in the Battle threads it sounds like there were murderous hoards of helmetless, wild eyed children roaming the grounds on pitbikes looking for people to run down, people running unmuffled, big block Ford powered generators...

    Help with motor bike selection.

I borrowed this from Lucky's post in the old guys and old bikes section just so there's no confusion about what "on the pipe" means. This is "ON THE PIPE" :) http://m.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Doug-Dubach-Moto-1-Diamond-Dons-YZ100-Two-stroke-warning,1269168 Pure, sweet music! Kevin

    Help with motor bike selection.

Here are answers to a couple of your questions. A 2 stroke engine puts out 80 to 90 percent more power per cc that a 4 stroke engine. That's why an 85cc 2 stroke is comparable to a 150cc four stroke. However, the smaller size 2 stroke makes it's power at a much higher RPM and reaches that high...

    Craigslist, Impulse Buying, and Decisions

If I die and my wife sold everything for what I told her I paid for it, I'd die again. I read that somewhere and it struck a chord, of course, it doesn't apply to me......... I try to keep at least one of every color around so when they do show up, they blend in. It's also nice to have a son...

    Vintage Days- Hard Lessons Learned

That's what this guy had on his. A small spot of paint rubbed off the spring. He had a YZ rear wheel on it. Rubbing was probably the wrong word, more like the chain was touching the spring occasionally under extremes. It would take a hundred years to rub thru, I don't think it's a big problem...

    My 1st Vintage Days !!!

You should be warned up front that vintage bikes have the propensity to multiply in numbers pretty quick. First its something you like or had back in the day, then it's another one "because I need something to race on Friday/Saturday/Sunday" then it's "I always wanted and...

    Vintage Days- Hard Lessons Learned

Mike, I was looking at another MX250 with Works shocks on it and the chain was rubbing the spring. Does it on your bike? Kevin
