Well, Steel City was dusty when we arrived this morning. I guess they scraped and rolled yesterday. They watered right before the first vet 30 practice, but it wasn't bad. Then it started raining and the place turned into an ice skating rink. Now we have tornado warnings in effect overnight...

^It looks like they take alternates up to (the # of areas * max allowed qualifiers). So that means they'll take up to 64 riders (8*8) per class in most regions. Agreed that it sucks. I think it's more about money than fairness or common sense. I think this has all been bitched about on here...

Vet 30 here. High Point this weekend.

I heard 168 riders. Not a big turnout, I'm sure Fast Traxx took some of the turnout away. No idea how the track was. I was out there a couple weeks ago and the track needed a little work, but I'm sure they got it in shape for race day.

Well, we made it home in one piece from Crossroads. The track was fun, but the program ran very slowly. Slow to start and every bit of three hours was wasted on prepping the track. There were several cases where only three motos would leave the line before they would spend a good bit of time on...

Awesome! We saw quite a few near Mount Morris this weekend and one gobbler near the highway in Columbus. I took a trip to Nebraska earlier this spring and got a couple toms with a bow. Good work!

I'd second getting a newer RM. I have an 03 and don't like several things about it all that much. The suspension is not great, it takes a new slide and some jetting work to make it run decent - mine still isn't as good as it should be, and it's mostly bottom to mid power - it runs out quickly on...
