We used to have a van, put two big bikes with my CR 80 in backwards. Little tight seating but its works out fine. Might be better with a diesel for the right price because of its better gas milage, towing and higher resale value.

Honestly the only way to find out if it will work is to try it.

Only issue you might have is the frame structure of the trailer to add the hitch. Otherwise theres no difference having it on trailer or on back of your Tahoe, assuming you have weight in the trailer.
