Sounds to me you may have a problem with how your cable is routed. If it is binding or hard angle you will get a stiff feeling.

Same exhaust different bike but same problems. And mine will not stay tight to the head, I have to use 4 springs. Then the megabomb gets so close to the radiator hose's I have to use zip tyes to pull the hose away from it. Last FMF exhaust I will ever buy!

Well said Meister, I have a 04 5.4 FX4 and its last gasser i'll ever own. Thing gets 13mpg on 33's no matter what Im pulling or how fast i'm going. Buddies Duramax gets 21 mpg cruising at 80!
