I dont understand why nowadays when somebody puts an aggresive pass on somebody all the drama starts. What about back in the day when people made aggresive passes all the time? It was just rubbing is racing. Ive seen mcgrath do it to carmichael and other rivals throughout decades of racing. Stewart could have easily checked up and avoided it. Reed and stewart are both drama queens. Im glad villipoto won.
Look at the Pic's or video whatever Reed was not making a pass... He was simply "parking sideways" at the exit of a corner. On what planet or in what sport would anyone consider this move an attempt to pass. Absolutely absurd that anyone watching or see pic's would say this was a pass or block pass.
Yes agreed that back in the day things were different. Same can be said about NFL, NASCAR, Formula 1, NHRA, Ect. Everything evolves, I think mostly for the best. So thats why the AMA is supposed to uphold rules and standards for all, at all times.
I for one would not want to have to worry about Barcia, Hansen or the likes of Reed as I am about to hit an 80ft triple. put yourself in there shoes for a moment.
I know for some it may not be as entertaining but The sport has evolved.
Back in the day no one new the difference. Since the sport has grown and more people are knowledgeable now aware of the difference between (banging bars, rubbing paint, and playing hard) as apposed to (flat out dirty and unsportsmanlike like conduct).
Reed had no intensions of making a pass he just "desperately" wanted to keep the other guy down. "If he can't have it, then you can't either". This makes Reed is his own worst enemy.
I call it like I see it. I don't wear binders, use filter's, or allow any racial, or other biased influences to cloud my opinions, or judgment. Good, Bad, Ugly, or indifferent I am honest with myself and anyone else.
