Bomber

I don't think so, I read his profile on the AMA's Hall of Fame and he was a Suzuki rider from 1978 - 1984 and then switched to Kawasaki in 1985 but had a knee injury there and retired after the 1985 season. So it was all Suzuki's and then one year on KX's for the Bomber before retiring, so I don't know that he ever raced a Yamaha ever.
 
Nope no Yamaha ride, but he did try and make a comeback in the late 80's on a Tuff Racing backed RM
 
A yellow '84 YZ and yellow gear would have made for a better Bomber look.

Is that an '85 in the ad?

I'm thinking it's an 84 with white euro plastic because the front brake is a drum and the frame is black like an 84...the 85's had a disc in the front and a red frame. Or, somebody put an 84 front end on an 85 and then painted the frame black to make it look like an 84. Hmm...Bottom line...I dunno :)

I'd say Bomber's bike is an '84 in red and white. That Euro '84 looks good except for the modern bend bars. Z-spokes!
