Well, here is the annual report of attendance by track. Living up to my own standard of "if your not growing, your dying" I have included the Kentuckiana series in the report. If you have not noticed, that series has REALLY taken off in the past couple years.
I attempted to include the "Great Lakes" organization in the numbers but it became more then I could handle with the 512 different races they had this year. They still schedule multiple tracks on the same day so apparently even track owners / promoters in Michigan are just as stupid as the rest of the states population.
It is PAINFULLY obvious that the old D-11 series has really fallen on hard times. With an average of just 130.81 entries per race, that is the lowest since I have been alive. Southern Ohio has plenty of riders and they show for events like Chilitown, East Fork and Dirt Country. But riders are protesting poor tracks with there wallets and not showing up if the track and or prep is below standard.
I have a sneaking suspension that the landscape of tracks vs. organizations is about to have a big shake-up. And I cant wait for the announcements.
Anyway, here are the numbers. Ready of not.
