Ronnie Ford got 12th in 40+ and 29th in 30+ at Loretta's last year. Mike Mercer said today that he was not that good (to be at a SX). Someone asked about the Road to SX deal. According to Mike, because he had a pro license back years back, he can apply for one and be issued one. I guess Ronnie Ford used to have a Pro License back in the day too, so that's how he was able to ride the SX.

I guess there is a loop hole for Knox to qualify in Indy after all.

You only got 2 years of not having your license to renew or you have to do all the qualifications over your not grandfather in after that

I talked to Ronnie at the race he said he was trying the 2 stroke angle to get sponsors and it worked said they pick up the bill for the season but after that showing I dont think I would try again it wasnt preatty

He's a solid rider, but not for SX. SX is on a whole new level not many can achieve. I give the guy credit for giving it a go, and putting himself at the mercy of criticizism in this small community.

Agree. Cant see any of us on here even beginning to try to navigate a SX track. He would probably have a better shot at a outdoor national. Especially if he is in some what decent shape.
