*Disclaimer: Didn't vote in 2016 Presidential Election. Neither candidate was to my liking.*
Will Trump survive an entire term without being impeached? I'm a little ambivalent.
I could see him making it 4 years, but he is perpetually under assault (self-imposed at times). I could see him being impeached as well. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised.
There is an obvious faction (republicans and democrats alike) waiting to pounce on him for any mishap, no matter how serious or fictitious. To them, any mistake is a green-light to begin or at least consider impeachment proceedings.
What Trump has teased out of Washington Bureaucrats is their preference for the status quo. No matter how much they espouse "Washington is broken", anyone who imposes upon the customs and tradition of the government way of life is subject to cut-throat politics.
I'm most concerned about the politicization of government intelligence. Between the intel-leaks and leveraging the faculties of the intel community against a sitting president, is it anything other than naked corruption?
As the saying goes, politics makes interesting bedfellows.
