From time to time, Terry Good, the factory bike collector from Chicago posts some interesting stuff for sale on ebay like this 1977 factory Yamaha OW125 factory head and cylinder. Just $3200+shipping.

You would have thought there would have been some port work done to it but the transfers are rough as hell.
 
Other than nostalgia - both head and cylinder are junk.
Head is a short fill casting -
Cylinder has porosity around the seal area to the point of embarrassment.
 
I always chuckle a little when someone wants a large amount of money for the parts, and then also charges for shipping. If I'm paying 3,200 bucks for that he could at least ship it free to the continental US.
 
I don't want to start ripping here, but is there maybe an extra 0 in the price?
And yeah - at that price - what's the point of even talking about shipping?
Like asking for shipping on a diamond ring?????
 
Not really shopping for anything. I was looking at a set of billet triple clamps, unfortunately,
they wanted too much $$. I see these through a preset eBay search for OW.
Yep, still have the 500. Have a couple things to fix but hope to get it out later this year.
