This is a link to an article on Trey Canard and his endeavor. I really like his approach and the issue is surely warranted. Having been involved trackside for 14 or so years, safety was something that tugged in my heart over and above anything else trackside. I have had similar thoughts that he expresses...mine being far from as clear as he states it...a gut feeling kinda.
His end goal of a "Playbook" has been my (not that I am anyone, i just feel this way) line of thinking over the years, that it makes sense for their to be a standard; a guide.
Something I learned through the years...even when riders have beef between each other and whatever hoopla is going on off or on the track...whenever a rider is seriously injured...even one we may hate...we all gasp.
Anyways...pretty cool what he is doing, I am excited for his efforts and hope that something pans out in the long run.
Keep going Trey!
