Too many options too many series

So OMA folded and bcliff is independent with just big events I’m assuming. So a new series is coming out Central OHio motocross series. Seems to me first post on Facebook nothing is really set up besides maybe it’s just Honda hills trying to have more races. Then you got viva, haven’t heard anything about it so who knows what that looks like and what tracks. Then you got D12 with there typical tracks with addition of grears and beans. So now we are adding a fourth series and see if it works ??? Fact of the matter is there is too many series going on in Ohio. Buckeye series kills it and covers southern Ohio along with a few in central. The tracks in the buckeye series do their best at buckeye series races. So to me adding another series is just honestly stupid. While also Viva and d12 I feel should combine. Would increase entries and gates as everyone wants. Just my 2 cents that ain’t worth much but really wanting some opinions on this topic? What would you guys like to see moving forwards or what problems do you see with what’s going on now ?

I wish BC would join the buckeye series. Get all those SW Ohio riders to BC. BC is run great and prep is always on point. Worthy of the Buckeye Series. And the Buckeye Series could use something new as well.

Not that we see or hear much from the AMA districts these days, but shouldn't Grear's be District 11?

shoot if we did districts there would only be about 5 tracks north that race the rest would all be d11. Moto is good in southern Ohio right now it’s the northerns that need to figure it out. From my standpoint you seem COCR and route 62 try other races that weren’t buckeye series and they did horrible but then have almost 400 or more on a buckeye series day. These tracks and I’m sure owners aren’t going to want to run races in series no one shows up in cause they lose money. Just my two cents everyone on the BS schedule I wouldn’t run any other series races

What does the Buckeye series do different than other series?

The answer isn’t full gates or a lot of riders. That’s just the result of the formula they use. So what’s the secret to the success?

Also what new track’s have formed up north to support the racing?

Also what is this new series from what I gather it’s these 3?
1. Viva
2. Buckeye
3. D12

I am an "expert" i know all come on man. Don't you pay attention to any threads over the last 20 years?

Scott promotes the Buckeye Series. People just want to be there racing. The split schedule thing also seems to be working.

Funny down here in Florida you would think races would have full gates, etc. It's horrible. Even the winter Ams. Look at the gate counts. It's pathetic. Yet the buckeye series consistently gets 400-600 entries.

Buckeye series is the only series in southern Ohio that’s what’s different. Everyone in Dayton/cincy/columbus/kentucky/West Virginia all come to race it. Lots race every single race. Some tracks do better than others but even on a “bad”weekend still a lot of entries in the 300-400. The central to northern Ohio has 3-4 series to choose from. Honestly the only one doing great is merp. But that’s also because it has the border of moto and woods guys. So I’m saying northern Ohio to make moto and gates good up there again need to come together as one and bring d12, viva and now I guess this COMX too almost like everyone has said back to the district 11 and district 12 days same concept but southern Ohio is buckeye series and northern could either all go viva or all go d12 there’s a reason no one in southern Ohio has any interest in traveling north and that’s not because the tracks and more so the size of gates and turnouts

Didn’t even know cra was a thing so i guess just add it to the mix of things. Let’s get about 50 entries here 50 entries there maybe a 100 here and then get mad that no one is showing up lol. Going to be how that goes

Just looking at results not putting a ton of effort into this comment/observation

It looks like…

1.) Scott/Buckeye crushes youth classes (50’s, 65’s and 85’s)

2.) If they’re not at East Fork or Chillitown numbers look pretty similar to up north.

Being that I’m stepping out of the promotion game. I’ll say this - everyone is trying their best and in their mind they are doing what they think will work.

I’m sure it would help if everyone was rowing the boat in the same direction - but it’s not that easy.

The deck is stacked against motocross racing. From cost, to format, to tracks, to schedule. This goes on and on.

I hope the best for everyone - it’s a s**t load of work.

I don’t see it getting better any time soon. I hate to be negative but it’s a tough game.

You’re stepping out ? Whaaaat?

Told someone ohio with moto is like a small town thats had 2 gas stations on each end that have done well for years, then sheetz comes in and builds 4 stores across the town. Much less gas being pumped out of each store but still little bits from each.
