Is the pressure plate fully engaged into the hub? It fits into the grooves in the end of the hub when it is lined up properly. Just a thought. I have seen that happen before. Also check that all of the large washers are in place one behind the hub and one behind the basket.

The way I am reading it they are treating it like a 250 , saying it shares the same bottom end as the 250 making it essentially a big bore. I am with you, to me it makes the most sense to treat it like a 450. I own both a 250 and a 350 ,and can tell you the 350 is a lot closer to the 450 in...

Alex just stated above the decision was to put the age limit on the bike and not the class for that reason. A lot of people ride a 250 in the 450 class since that rule was changed a few years back.

Its definitely rough but I feel its safer and better for racing than before the changes.

They added roughly a foot of sand and changed the layout to slow it down a couple years ago. Took out the long stretch up and over the top or "gators back". Much better than it used to be.

I like the groups. The track is more clear when I go out and I can run a good pace the entire session with other riders doing the same pace or faster than myself. Seems really high to me. We have a 250 SXF FE now and just had a 250 SXF before that. I have never spent anywhere near that for a top end but I do the work myself. I would think he could find a lot better price than that. It shouldn't be that much to replace the crank and all.

You are right. I wouldn't say my son was a true novice. I did say we didn't break any rules and he raced in a class that he met the criteria for according to the AMA. Is that system perfect? No! But if you understand how the advancement system works it make a really good attempt at advancing...
