    Pitbikes

Oh! So you're not local then. I met a guy on Monday at Smith Rd. that was asking the same thing-- I thought you were him. Same thing though, see what the locals are doing, and build your ride to suit. As far as just wanting a stocker 110.... that's where the illness begins my friend!! Hahaha...

Ya. I grabbed my YZ because I always thought they were cool bikes, and I wanted to join in the Mid-Ohio fun. I'd grab something air cooled too. The thought of old radiators and hoses makes me have to pee..... hahahahaha! Besides the whip I got-- I LOVE the 1980 YZ125. --L*64

    Pitbikes

Were you at Smith Rd. yesterday? The 110's are great IMO, but you have to look at what's going on in the local scene. Build your bike to the scene, rather than what you'd LIKE the scene to be. As of late, all the pit bikes (I've stopped calling them that at this point, I call my bike a play bike...

Ya. The classes seem fairly confusing to me too. One I get my one hunnert dialed-- I'm just gonna sign up for whatever classes it's allowed in, and go from there. --L*64

How does a 2-stroke know what direction to run in?

Hahaha! So if you advance or retard the timing-- it can actually run in reverse? I was checking a crank for play, and I found out that it was just as easy to push in the other direction. --L*64

How does a 2-stroke know what direction to run in?

Hahahaha! Could you imagine heading to the gate, and when it drops, you head directly backwards? I've never heard of this before, but I was thinking that if you alter the timing, how would the crank really know what direction to go in? What year YZ did that? --L*64

How does a 2-stroke know what direction to run in?

So I was thinking about this... and yes, I think way too much! BUT! How does a two stroke always run in the same direction? What keeps the crank from spinning in reverse? Is it the ignition timing? Just kinda curious. Could it be timed to run backwards? --L*64

    Rust in a metal tank

Fill it with pebbles, and some kind of rust product and shake, shake, shake. Try to bead blast from the top if the rust is on the bottom, try and blast the top through the petcock hole if possible, then POR15 for whatever is left. I agree that Kreem is crap. --L*64

I don't think it would race in the same class as a YZ100? I think it would go with the old Hodaka type of bikes. Probably the same engine as a newer RT100? --L*64

    Help with motor bike selection.

What's up Godfather! I think I saw your boys up there Thursday night. If I had to ascertain the issue, it's that your son was in 4th or 5th gear in parts of the track where he needed to be in second or third. Riding a two stroke racer is something that comes with time on the bike. The first time...

    Ohio Cycle

Sweet! I still have some old Crash and Burn mags from the '80's. Hell-- I still have the first mag I ever bought which was January 1985 Dirt Bike. I must have read the damn magazine 500 times, read every ad in the back. I always thought it would be cool to have a section on here where you could...
