Yes, we were in the SRAM sprinter parked next to it. They grilled for lunch, and then dumped the coals in the white barrel. We were parked right in front of the first turn.

Transponders are the bees knees! It's pretty nice to have everyone's laps. In road racing it is mandatory for every race. And they are much more expensive since the speeds are in the 200mph range.

Sounds pretty sweet! I'm going to ride Medaryville next weekend to get some sand track riding in before the 500. I'll see if I can roll up there with Mercer since he's running the 30+ as well. I'm not a fan of going racing alone.

I'm trying to make the decision whether or not to go to the Regional myself. I qualified in 30+ at briar only because 4 of the guys ahead of me didn't pay for the Q. ( I think some already qual'd at Chilli). It would be cool just for the experience. I raced a regional or two on 80's back in...

Agreed! Race weekend practice should be for the racers. It gets packed enough as it is without adding in the "practice day only" riders.
