What do you guys do with old riding gear?

I've got an old set of boots, and old chest protector, and a set of old knee braces. What do you guys do with your older/worn stuff? I'm not sure if it has an value or not?
 
I give mine away to the neighborhood kids that trail ride or to someone at the track that may need it...
 
I used to give my stuff to kid up the street that rode 4 wheelers till he broke his leg twice. know i just put it in the basement.
 
I usually give it to those in need (usually kids in the nieghborhood) for free. Other than that it usually sits around here till I get sick of it and throw it away.
 
I have a Fox Med helmet with bag and few pair of Oakley goggles that are in excellent condition that I would be happy to donate to anyone IN need. If you plan on putting it on E-bay to make a buck please pass.

Also have pants (size 32) and L jersey that I would be happy to donate. All gear is in like new condition. The boots I already gave away. If you don't want it known public just shoot me a PM. Whenever Beans has a opening day I can bring it with me for you to pick up. Sorry I'm not going to ship it.

There was a request on the old forum for a Classified section "Free to a Good Home." I put that on here for the new classifieds section but it sat with no use for two months so I deleted it.

If I put it back will it get used?
 
I usually give mine to people that are starting out riding, young kids like how i started. gave a pair of fox boots to a kid at AC last year you would have thought i gave him a new bike. :)
 
Thats awsome Im sure you made that kids day, unless your hurting for doe (who isn"t) donate to someone in need.
 
I use mine for doing stupid stunts, riding trash cans on an icy day, roller blading behind a car, Trying to get horses to jump something, you know just normal day to day stuff where you can use some padding and don't want to mess up your nice gear.
 
I pretty much have 1 of everything other than goggles and jerseys but it's good to keep that stuff if you don't have multipul pairs. If you wreck and the Mrs. says that your not getting new gear or you don't have the money at the time you can go into the closet, pull out some old stuff and get back out there until you can replace. The next best thing is if you are good and have a couple pairs of everything is give them to kids who want them. I have a buddy whos been bothering me for weeks about if I have anything left over he can buy off me.
 
my dad still has gear from when he was like 20 or somthing i think it is supposed to be red but it looks pink and he wants me to wear it......... no way

Nice, very retro? Might be sweet.

I should also throw out there that I'm for using the gear to make a gnarley snow man or to crash into stuff haha
 
its pretty bad and i dont think its a name brand either i dont know i will where the bultaco jersey and the old yamaha jersey but the pants........ i dont think i will buy into those
