BC Update

PR Founding Father
We are putting KOC on the shelf. With a horrible spring still hanging around, we really dont have the budget to do the transponder system at this time. So, there will be no King of the Cliff events in 2011. There will be two normal Monster days in place of what was to be the next couple rounds. I'm still going to do this at some point, but the time is not now.

Thank Clinton for global warming ...... lol

Sad to hear about this grand concept being shelved for now. However with my arm broken I would have missed all but the last one anyway.

Part of what keeps the cliff so good is your keeping things on the move or even cutting edge with changes and ideas ( KOC !!!! ) Keep up the good work !

Man thats too bad. I really thought this was a cool Idea! Wish more tracks would consider something like this. Im sure its not cheap tho!

To do it on the BC scale its about $7500. Right now I can think of about three areas of our operation that could use some improvements before we spend money on cool new ideas. Right now, the weatherman owes me about $12,000.

What! No KOC? Did you tell Kim this? She's going to be PO'd fo' sure!!!!...oh wait...never mind. Um...bummer? ;)

Ron - I have the sad duty to inform you that your Po'd privaledges have been revoked. You see much like the Pro's have to score points to keep their national number alive, us amatuers must ride one practice event per year to keep our *****in' rights. No ridin'= No *****in'. Just thought I would clear that up, I dont want anyone on here getting confused. Sorry, but street bikes, harleys, and other asphalt pounding machines do not count. Feel free to get your dirt bike out and ride it any certified open practice in Ohio, and we will gladly renew your rights to complain, whine, cry, and ***** about anything as you see fit.

Scoob your cool, I have seen you at a ride, but Kim? Thats reaching, never seen her ride.

Oh, my bad.

Me and my asphalt pounding buddies are gonna have to pay you a visit soon. We need to have a "sit down" with you boys that play with your little toys in the dirt.

ruh roh...easy there big fella, we dont need to start the BC biker wars....

call me dumb but i really havent paid much attention on here at all lately, what exactly is the KOC?? i just finally got a bike again after 3 years off and hoping to make the journey to the cliff verryyy soon, all i hear is good about it.

KOC, or King of the Cliff was based on timed qualifying. We would have a 1hour open timed qualifying session, followed by prep, and the top 40 go to the gate. One 20 minute moto would decide the KOC. The reigning king would get free practice, a reserved parking spot of his/her choice, and these one-off hand made crowns, which I'm glad I held off on at this point. Lets hope the weather turns around at some point so we can get back on track (no pun), and work toward running KOC next year.

Maybe you should hold a raffle at each practice this year ( a 50/50) , ask for donations cash or stuff around the garage that you could have an auction for at the end of the year. Use the proceeds to fund KOC. I would donate to all the above ideas and I'm sure many others would too. I'm sure we could think of other fund raisers also. KOC is the best idea for riding I have heard in years and I believe it would draw huge crowds once a few rounds were in and the word got out. I'm up for helping keep B/C stay alive and grow. Top 5 of the greatest tracks I have been to.

The biggest thing people can do is come out to ride. Thats what has made it what it is to this point. Bring your buddies. The more people we get the more cool stuff we can do. We have had a few big crowds this year, but the weather has really softened the numbers overall.

I was hoping to get up there for Father's Day (June 19), but it doesn't look like you'll be home. I am "allowed" to go for an all-day session on Father's Day! Scotty810 has been egging me on to get up there. Sooner or later (hopefully sooner)...
