Stripped oil filter bolt hole 250sxf, Need Permanet fix?

Thanks for the help but I'm just going to do an m6 bolt already got the tap, drill bit and bolt from the machine shop at work but thanks guys!

Nope...Hershey wouldn't have had this problem stripping the oil drain plug, he never changes his oil so no need to remove plug!!!
 
helicoil or timesert is the best if you want to do it right and keep the bike! i like timeserts better because they are one peice and expand a little when you put the bolt in and tighten it. either heilcoil or timesert will be stronger than the original threads if done right. i would do both filter bolt holes if i did it.

all of those epoxy and permatex stuff is not a permanent fix. i think the bolts are m5x0.80mm thread.
