Cold Weather Escape to Monster Mountain

Zman

PR Addict
Thanks DD for the invite down...glad we made it and Mitchy and Trevor love that place as they put in 2 full days of riding 10A-4:30P. They slept almost all the way home as we loaded up and burned straight back 14 hours. Well worth it, but we almost went into shock pulling with temps -3 and the boys still wearing shorts. Had 60+ and sun and could not have asked for a better track prep and fast group of 65's and 85's to ride with.

Thank you and John for helping out a rookie Mini Dad!
Would have been lost without you and just fine if I would have listened in the first place. (Thats what happens when you think you know everything!)

IMG_1879.jpgWent from lets wait till I am 8 to ride the big track, to I do not like the little bike or pee wee track any more!

I have hundreds of pictures of the boys. I will crop some up on the plane ride to Taiwan. 14 hours 45 minute flight, I will need something to do!

WTF???

Where are the pics of Zman riding?

The track and weather look beautiful!

You mean Z - Mechanic? Did not have room for his bike he said!

These guys parked next to us. So anyone that thinks it it too far to drive.

5 full size adults, 4 full size bikes, pressure washers, stands, EZ up and a DOG! drove down from WISCONSIN in this van.

Wis Van2.jpg OH and camped in it too.

Yes you sure did miss it..Nick was shredding the pee wee track. Glad he graduated to the big track. Thanks for the help on my suspension Dave. I sure love it, and getting more confident on my bike. Oh ,I did see Dave dragging bars in corners at this place. Just in case their are any doubters out there. Just sayin..

The track was perfect saturday. The Rekluse clutch is an AMAZING work of art. I have had rekluse clutches in my bikes since my KTM 2008 250 sxf. I will say that I have really enjoyed these clutches for a long time, I'm sad to see so many people that want them now! it's great for rekluse, But I have an advantage that only a few have. And the more that show up will eat away at the advantage that we have. For the NAY sayers, keep thinking it will not work for you because it won't. Change is something very few people can relate to. Think of it this way; how many times have you guys stalled those big 450's and kicked your ass of to get started? How many times have you battled with someone going into a corner and got so excited you grabbed the clutch lever to late? Well this will NOT happen again if you have one. And you don't even know its in the bike until a scenario like this happens. Same clutch feel and pull, Take off and stop, OR simply don't pull the lever, Engine will not stall. People have ridden my bike and I didn't tell them it's in the bike and they have no idea they just rode a bike with an automatic clutch. I hope you guys keep thinking about it and talk your self's out of it. You all are right.. It doesn't work.

I knew when I got in the carb and saw it put together wrong, I resolved ur issue...maybe now u will listen to me on these little bikes! Awesome time, and yes we were full with 4 motorcycles and the OSET and gear... Next time.. Awe heck.. I'm selling my bike.. Just gonna support Mitchy! U know how it goes DD.. U even said u can understand trying to run a mini program and ride yourself is very hard and expensive!

I am not trying to get Matthew to Loretta Lynns or anything......but a son racing two classes, and me racing for sure is expensive.

Yep.. And running all the nationals we can is even more, but really it is flat out stressful trying to ride when Mitchy is there. If they break out sessions.. I have to hurry back to get him ready to go and if we are out together, I either have to ride near him or worry he is down and no one to get to him if something happens unless I stumble on him coming around.

I've been through that... With Jack running 3 classes and me running 2-3 it is crazy! No time for anything. Thank god there were no real crashes for either us. At one point we had 6 bikes in the trailer.
