Good point, I would have to put Kenworthys ahead of J.O. Then again I don't know what kind of time frame it took them to go from corn field to national. Hmmm

Actually my statement might still be true. Does Don Kenworthy still reside in Ohio? He might have said heck with this weather and headed for Florida!! Lol

I just read a little piece on Don Kenworthy in that latest RacerX. It said he lives down south and was spotted at the Tennessee national helping out.

I think I heard he is living in TN, so it makes sense to be able help out at the Muddy Creek Nat. Pretty cool that he wanted lend a hand at a big race like that.

Drew Wolfe is the one and only. No one treats riders and people better
Kenworthless was just lucky to have perfect dirt and an army of "club members" that did all the work. He was only in it for the money. If that were not true they would still be racing

Don Kenworthy does live in Tennessee now. He helped the first couple years with the colorado National, and I am pretty sure was like a consultant that helped with Muddy Creek as well.

I did hear from a very good source that Treaty City had said they were not going to be a part of the southwest MX Series. Something to do with the $1 per rider they pay to go towards the end of year awards. TC said they were going to run on their own. My source said, go ahead and run on your own, you'll get 40 riders instead of 80. No lose.

Ive been told the prep at Davefest was better than High point and Briarcliff. Not too shabby for a cow path operator. Maybe I should hold a national here!

We have been through this.......cow path with bark mulch=rookie level of difficulty for prep........And I will sponsor Dougfest next year if I get to regrade the driveway and make it an A skill level entrance.....

wow, so they are broke up over $80-150 per race, heck portajohns cost more then that...

Jerry Laughlin (sp) , who WAYback was the promoter of MotoSport Trails ( now Malvern MX ) and Valley View ( now gone ) will forever be the yardstick I hold all other promoters/track owners to . Don't know if he is still around but he was a true professional and now legend , at least to me but I'll bet many will agree . I remember how he stopped pit rider/idiots - everybody had to walk their bike to the line , no matter how far away you were pitted , or you were out . That calmed down the problem in short order . Was also there the day he announced a new racing organization at the riders meeting and everybody signed up . It was the CRA . That was MANY years ago and it still exists today so it must be providing something racers want , need , and appreciate .

Talk about Silly Season, anyone see that Jimmy Johns is a co-sponsor of the RCH-Rockzen ride? I wonder if he will be freaky fast next year?

I don't feel bad about anything I have said about any of my competition, EVER. You compete with me, there's a chance you will get the horns, because I will be gunning for ya. If people don't like that attitude, then maybe they should step outside the circle. I promise that I wont say anything negative about any other organization for the rest of the day.....until tomorrow at least. Then after we talk about our feelings, maybe we can all get together and have a sing along.

Nothing against you Corey, but what's with this sympathy crap.

It's called "Sportmanship."

You can even fight actual War with Honor.

Sportsmanship? That's for sporting events not wars. Nobody goes to fight over seas and is worried about sportsmanship. Nonetheless, I never cared about anyone standing across from at the line of scrimmage either, but I respected them for putting on the pads and helmet. You can respect the people that are your competition, adversary's, foes, enemies, whatever, but you don't have to like or be nice to them. Believe it or not, I respect certain individuals on this board that I dislike very much. It can happen.
