looking for 1983 cr250 0r 480

Dieter - you can have mine for the low low price of $6895..... I see 480's come up a bit more often. I have been watching for 83 CR's for over 2 years they do come up quite a bit. If I see any I'll let you know.
 
Both are fast and handle very well. Bought a 83 480 2 days before Christmas in 82...nice gift to myself!

Look at my avatar Dieter (photo credit to Halffast)!! That Fox Twin Clicker rear shock and properly sprung front forks saved my old knees and ankles from certain death or dismemberment on that giant landing and many others .....way better than any 1983 stock suspension could!
 
Second that as broke the lower linkage tab off the frame bending the stock shock shaft so put a Fox twin clicker on it back in 83 and it made a huge difference over the stock shock. Worth welding a plate on each side of the link to frame tab as saw quite a few back in the day the break off thru hole in those tabs.

Here you go.....he says trade only and his description of the motor and tranny is a bit confusing? 82 had 4 speed, 83 5 speed. Not sure if he means he has an 82 bottom end and an extra 83 motor or what's up? If you rode the hydraulic clutch at AHRMA they might question it..... Not a hard fix I don't think. A little paint and about $250 in plastic and that would look like a winner to me.
