These little fur balls have been stalking me all day. I managed to set up right in the middle of their kingdom.

I know right??? They are everywhere. Not sure what they are. They look like a chipmunk sorta,but thier body is longer though.

Yea I think they're baby pup prairie dogs. Those thing were fearless.

End of day, the place was empty. Turkey Vulture was on the ground trying to eat said prairie things, My dog chased the turkey vulture half way across the grounds not realizing he couldnt jump that high

I have never seen so many ground squirrels my entire life! Things were EVERYWHERE! Our dog kept sticking her nose in the holes, I was waiting for one to latch on, haha.

Overview:

The thirteen-lined ground squirrel can be found in open short and mid-grass prairies and golf courses. They dig extensive burrows and hibernate about 6 months out of the year.

those things have been "owning" that campground for years...they are always running around there. I was out putting up signs on the track on Friday and one came up out of a hole and ran across my foot...i jumped about 4 feet and peed a lil..
