1992 San Jose Supercross 125cc Main | Jeremy McGrath - Throw Back Thursday

"I like to win with dirt on my number plate--it makes me feel a lot better" d. Bradshaw. Legend.

I really think today's riders would have problems on that track. Not sure if they could even go that fast. Supercross seemed real awesome that day. Track didn't flow but it really made the guys that could make it flow look untouchable. That step on step off was INSANE.

Bradshaw was my favorite rider back in the late 80's / early 90's. I don't know if it's my age or the racing but I enjoyed it more back then. Stanton, Bayle & Bradshaw had some great battles.

Best race I ever seen. I missed the main by one in the lcq that night. Watched the main from the dozer by the starting gate. Man I wish I would have made the main that night just so I could say I was part of it

Kind of funny to see these 125 races from 1989 and know that I have one of each of the brand bikes in my garage right now.

Amazing that Bradshaw was on 17 years old in that race. He must have only been in the 125cc class for one year. Be interesting to see how things would have turned out had he stayed in the 125cc class for another year to develop. 17 is very young for all the pressure he was under in the 250cc class.. Was Doug Dubach his teammate then? Emig was on a 125 on 1990. [I think]

I swear this is true - in 91 I was at the Excalibur casino at 0200 on Sunday after the Las Vegas supercross playing blackjack and who sat at our table.....Damon. He couldn't have been cooler. We were hammered, he wasn't, but he definitely was having fun with it. I think he was there for at least 45 minutes and he was having a good time. He got 4th in 250sx that night. Woke up the next afternoon saying - "did I really play blackjack with Damon Bradshaw?" My crew had 3 at the same table and we all concurred.......true. You could tell he was a good person. "The Beast from the East!"
