To all of our great friends in WNY and the motocross community,
After a lifetime of riding/racing, years of holding MX schools, weekly open practices, and promoting hundreds of race events including AMA Loretta Lynn Qualifiers and our famous event the CAN/AM AIR, the owners of Area 51 Motocross would like to pass the torch to a new ownership group and or individual. Chris Moser and Corey Kandefer are retiring from the sport they poured their heart and soul into to pursue other opportunities and spend time with family.
AREA 51 Motocross is for sale effective immediately, we will consider all offers through our realtor. We need your help to find the next group of passionate owners that can take our 150 acre, 3 track motocross facility to the next level! Area 51 has a great reputation and a highly visible location that is easy to get to from Rochester, Buffalo, and Canada. Area 51 consists of the main competition track with a 40 man starting gate, a full scale night track with a 25 man starting gate, a beginner/ATV track, and a 3-5mile woods trail loop. We have built an infrastructure of PA speakers, underground irrigation, and lighting that is unmatched by most local and even national motocross facilities. We are open to offers that include the sale of the equipment and building contents to make this a seamless transition.
Some of our highlights include hosting Motocross Champions of the past and present Doug Henry, Blake Baggett, Alex Martin, Michael Byrne, Broc Glover, Scott Sheak, Jessica Patterson, Paul Carpenter, Josh Lichtle along with thousands of amateur riders from all over the country. We have also made national publications, Moto Playground, Transworld Motocross, and Racer X from our successful events that draw riders from around the countries of the US and Canada. Jason Raines has held several factory sponsored Yamaha demos. Colleen Milsaps held a highly acclaimed MTF School at Area 51. We are also a regular stop for the 5K Dirty Girl Mud Run. Area 51 is proud of our Ron Nye inspired CAN AM AIR event that draws more than 800 riders each year on Labor Day weekend.
We want all of our riders, sponsors, and employees to know that we truly appreciate all of the hard work, support, and memories they have given us over the years and we will continue to operate Area 51 Motocross until a new owner/ ownership group is in place.
Please spread the word to all of your MX friends that have ever thought of owning and operating a Motocross facility. Area 51 is branded nationally with a wide range of investment opportunities and established events that not many other MX facilities can offer based on location and reputation.
