Maybe you can relate...The seat on my old Yamaha was too slippery.
Went to a local shop that had loads of old seat covers and found one that fit the top of the seat.
Took it to a local custom auto upholster and had him sew it into the top of the seat.
Originally he told me $100 and I didn't bat an eye (everything for a vintage bike is $100, right?)
and it would be done in 2 weeks. 2 weeks to the day, he called and said it was done.
The final cost was $45.
I can't say enough good things about his work.
