I hadn't heard that about cobra. It's a sea of yellow in the 3 of the 4 classes. Every kid that we know that has tried a Cobra has switched from the KTM's to them. That is just the racing market tho. I'm sure much more KTM 50's are bought and never see a race. That's crazy. KTM owns the 50cc market. I heard Cobra was having some financial issues. This should be a boom for them, unless Yamaha steps up and produces a true race 50.
Yes & yes ...They will Still have entry level bike, but there going all electric for that size. Should be interesting to see where and with what they can race.
I have had the exact opposite experience. Our 3 Cobra's have been rock solid, and just bought a forth. The Brand new KTM we had in 16 gave me nothing but headaches and expenses. The last 5 years, Cobra has seen a big decrease. Locally it used to be all Cobras, then KTM stepped up. In my opinion, the KTM was much more reliable, and a better bike. Perhaps not quite as fast, but you were not working on them constantly.
I have not read anywhere about them dropping gas 50s. Will have to do some research.
KTM is not dropping 50s, a bad translation was made where someone was quoted that they were. They are doing a ton of electric mini bike testing but still plan on carrying the fuel filled bikes.
But electric starts had the same affect. And here we are today.I am old an set in my ways. Electric bikes interest me as much as buying an electric train set.
I still kick like a man.But electric starts had the same affect. And here we are today.
I still kick like a man.
