Inspired from a conversation on my other thread of our kids and grandkids riding dirt bikes at home and by pic's posted by 4DAIVI PAI2K5, thought it was time for another updated thread on Back Yard Tracks.
We haven't had one in a while and I always love these.

I don't really have a real track built at the house, but the grandkids are getting one cut in from all the laps their spinning. I'll try to get some pic's. posted up tonight.

All right, lets see them.......

Small, arena-cross sized track.

You plan on getting some air don't you. You've got the perfect sized lot for that.
It always amazes me how much everything shrinks after some good soaking rains and the dirt begins settling.

Looks fun.

As I said my yard is only 3/4 of an acre lol

He and his buddies still have a good time.

Old picture but I drew in what else is there.

I see the remains of a path around your house as well.:D
I takes some brainstorming to figure out how to maximize track path and length within limited space, and so that it keeps the property still looking respectable.

Thats the main part of the track i just didn't draw it lol.

My neighbors are cool. The one pays him to mow their yard and takes him rides in her convertable down to Burger King to get milkshakes.
The other is a gear head. He and his wife come sit on the grass on their yard with their grand kids to watch them ride. The other side of the road is a new ODOT building.

My little woods pit bike loop a long time ago. I actually added some stuff and made this into a cool little loop that I would zip around a few times a week. Now, it's still there but part of it had a shed built in the middle of it. I still keep it mowed but rarely ride on it as I don't have any pit bikes anymore.

Couple shots from the phantom of mine about 2 years ago. Needs reworked this year.

Mike, what a great topic talking about kids and backyard tracks.

Years and years of fun here without ever knowing what a real motocross track was or riding gear. My kids grew up riding and never made it to a track We sure had a lot of family fun, even my wife got in on the riding action. Thanks for starting my trip down memory lane.

Well I said I would get some posted and it's taken me some time, but here we go.
(please ignore the deplorable property maintenance of my neighbors, they are only trying to help keep my property tax 's low). (and one of them is a City Councilman).

Having some "After School Special" fun racing around my little yard.
