Crow canyon has essentially been cut in half. From the crow I raced in the 2000s.

how will that affect the motocross with viva? seems like there’s still alot of property…. What’s the layout gonna be like?

We were just there this week mapping out changes. We have a plan in place to add to what is there but we won’t start those changes until the weeks leading up to the race. We will post pics then when the project starts.

I like the set running order. That makes things nice and eliminates some of the guesswork on time. Being a PW dad I like knowing my little guy will be done at a reasonable time. It makes moto mom happy too. Obviously there may be some additions or subtractions, maybe 45 250c guys show up, but having a race schedule that is 99% accurate and complete is great.

Shewwwww.. suckin me in with that 1st moto stuff!

But then my daughter would be second to last moto. Lol

Couple of concerns ,Masters 50 2nd gate drop behind college boy, 65 7-11 and Girls 11-16 And women 14+ behind 2 stroke 14+. The speed disparity between those 3 groups of classes can be immense. Not only are the chances really good that a handful of riders will lose a lap every moto they race, it can be quite dangerous.

Not bashing, just think you ought to reconsider them.

No each series has its own race order. All the race and practice orders are on our website.
Hadn't checked the site. Thanks.

Sweet idea. Is the running order flippable each week?

Doesn't seem like the program actually shrunk at all though. I remember there being 22-23 motos even before nukentheQuads.

Old guy mentality from here down -

Hopefully I'm the only one thinking this for Bobby's sake, but if I know I'm 20th moto late every Saturday, I'm out.. Hoping the turn outs don't suffer from it. The few extra guys that may actually show up because of no quads I hope doesn't get cancelled out by people (mainly old and young lol) with late motos. I can't see at night anymore and I always hope to be early so I get atleast one moto in the daylight before I leave. The fair stuff was tricky enough for me at slow speed.

Like Dave, not bashing, just talking points I see.

I love night race vibes, but unfortunately the older I get the less they work for my family and I. I feel like my elders used to tell me the same stuff about Saturday night races and I made fun of them. Lol.

Sunday races for us have to be a planned event too. Camping means prepping toy hauler, missing church, late evenings on school nights.

Now I understand why Jon16 is the way he is... Lol

im with meister on that. i thought about that too, how cool i can see the running order now. but then i was immediately like, how are the people going to respond to that knowing they are last? they probably won't go.

i think flipping it often is a good idea. not only is there a crowd of ppl that won't want to be there late, but theres the crowd of people going to be like "I dont want to race the roughest conditions every time because im so late in the running order"

we all know theres no way to make everyone happy, but this seems to be a pretty sure way to make ppl NOT happy.

my 2 cents, as I want it to be successful for all involved!!!!

Seems like a good idea to flip it from time to time. Tough part is with kids. One week little Billy is moto 3. Next week he’s moto 20. It might turn off some parents then you’ll run into the “last time it was the other running order” arguments.

I would say this way it’s standardized and you know what you are getting and you can make an educated decision. Do you want to go or don’t you? At least you know how to prepare.

One of the selling factors is more laps. Something everyone always complains about. Another is knowing the race order. And finally you can figure out what classes you want to run.

Maybe this will entice riders to move up a class to get an earlier moto! Who’s the fastest C rider anyway?

Yeah, but what about the kids classes constantly stuck at the tail end? A 4-11, 4-8, and 7-11 all at the end..

I see 1 more lap than normal. Is that really a seller for people? Like Dave mentioned, lots of kids getting caught or lapped and getting 4 if they're lucky.

The Western NY tracks I go to hand out the race order at the gate when you pull in, it changes every week except for the little kids and PW classes, they are always the first 1-3 classes in the running order. The rest of the order is the same but they take the bottom 2-3 classes and move them to the top of the order right after the kids.
I like it and it seems to work good over there…
