MERP - GP Series 2024

You guys ever try these braces for sciatica? My wife deals with it alot and claims this thing helped alot. I get it here and there but dr Brian at Adjust can put me back in place pretty easy which almost immediately stops the shooting pains for me..

Epsom Salt soak or straight Magnesium flake soak is a most Wonderful Thing!!!
Agree, currently dealing with some really bad shin splints from constant running, and i take epson salt baths nightly, and ice immediately after. Epsom salt baths have always helped my aches and pains especially from riding

Custom insoles. Or i went through a bunch of shoes before i landed in brooks adrenalin ats with stock insoles. Finding the perfect running shoe is like finding a perfect suspension set up. I tried hoka bondi 8s and didn't like them because i got shin splints. Also have brooks glycerins but i prefer my adrenalins. Basically, try different shoes and buy them from a running specific store where they know what you actually need. I go to second sole.

+1 on Brooks. I went through a bunch of shoes - Brooks Beast for me with all its stability.

Thanks! When i was in the Air Force we always wore ASICS. I have the on cloud cloud monsters right now, but need another pair bc I’ve had them for 3 months. Ordered saucony endorphin pro 3, next i will try brooks!

I ran 10 miles at a 8:13 pace on Sunday and I use the hokas my girlfriend bought me and they feel pretty good and have good support. Definitely before I had them though I had some other nikes and the difference was night and day

I need to go to a running store and get fitted. Always run in cheap nikes, must be why I'm so slow, at least that's my excuse lol

Eli and Stacy got the same shoes. Arch support

Jack if every thing falls into place I think I'm going to come down for my first race on Sunday.
Is warrior only military or is Leo included in that.

40 + c is what I'm looking at lol

plan on running 11am in sportsman and 4pm in the warrior class. How’ve the turnouts been for that class, jack?
He told me it will probably be the lowest turn out.
So that's the one I'm going to run to get my feet wet. Some of my fellow officer said they might come out to talk crap to me. I mean cheer me on lol.

warrior classes are hit or miss. Sometimes some heaters show up and really humble it. But it’s a great way to add seat time on the day

This merp race was probably one of my favorites. Woods shaped up very nice, lots of alternate lines, and some good hot lines had developed by the end of the day. Woods got ROUGH, holes everywhere, deep ruts and roots, roots, and some more roots! The grass section was great, was very fast paced. It was super cool jumping onto the oval track, and topping the bike out. This was definitely a GNCC-ish race and i loved it. Ended up going 1-1 in my classes, not bad for only being my fifth time on a bike this year, and first race since last October, was also the first time I’d ridden my 500 since 2021, i forgot how much of a beast that bike is, especially in the woods on the last race of the day.
