A ny one seen a deal on a new 125?

I talked my college land lady into trading an old Honda CB street bike she had for the black yz125.

Then I bought the YZ off her for $700 or something.

It was a real basket case I spent so much money on that thing.

Sold it a year later or so and lost my ass.

I rode my 125 at a big grass track event put on by Kevin Kelly in GA. Full gate of bikes. I'm the only 125. I was in 6th gear on 2 places on this track and my GPS had me at 61 mph over that 135 foot table top. I only put 2 laps on YT. It gets boring.

I also rode the over 40 Pro 125 class and have video, but they had cut the laps down to 2 laps and 20 of the guys left because it was such a long day.

Grass track racing. The Great Escape. 64 in this video. 65 year old riding a 125. Priceless to me.

First real mx bike. A 1972 montesa 125.

Me on my new 1979 yz 125 at Central PA MX Park. Brand new. Coombs parked beside us when we talked. Broke it in and put numbers on it after practice.

2020 at Devils Ridge. In the south here, they have an OVER 40 125 PRO class. It's very popular.

Me on my 1998 kx 125 at a Grass Track race in WV. AHRMA National. Raining hard

One year ago my new yz 125 and 450. I never ride my 450 much. Maybe 1.5 hours this year

It gonna be my midlife crises bike too!!!!
I've purchased a couple 125 bikes over the years, each of which being my retire from riding bike. Guess I got past those crises points, I'm still riding...

My first year in Senior class bike, a 1986 YZ 125. After a Keihin carb swap and flywheel weight, that was great bike. Would stall on a jump face before that. Not great back when doubles were becoming the "big" thing.

I've heard that 2006 YZ 125 and YZ 250 are going to be one year too new according to the new AHRMA Next Gen class rules. Do you know, any truth to that?

I made some subtle changes to the white 250 last year and now I'm enjoying it about as much as my little old blue 125. Feels more light and playful now.

From the 2025 AHRMA Handbook - looks like an '06 is in the Current 2-stroke class. I raced my '01 CR125 in Millennium Class a couple of years ago in South Carolina. There was no one else in the class so they combined with a modern support class. 62 year old me lined up with a bunch of teenagers and 20 somethings. I didn't come in last, surprisingly.

My '01 CR125 at Ram Jam a couple of years ago. Rented the place, for a few hours. One the most fun days I have had on a dirtbike.

Okay, I thought Next Gen had been bumped up to cover early 2000 bikes but it hasn't. I have couple of 1990 something Next Gen bikes now. The handbook says the the 2006 YZ is Millennium eligible! That's my white bike. Lol Looks like I have bikes to cover the Current classes too. I haven't received my 2025 handbook yet.
Nice looking Honda Dano!

Interesting that a YZ 125 is through '05 and YZ250 is through '06.

Basically any AL frame is not next generation. Generally

Watched a few videos on your channel. Interesting tuning for a 350 feel. Very nice videos.
