Winter Projects?

I started out building a 1972 Penton Jackpiner but found a guy in Oregon who needed it for a road racing class. I ended up with a 1973 Penton Harescrambler. I am ready to race motocross and cross country races. Can't wait for the weather to break.

Nice stable of bikes you have there....

A buddy had a blue 175 Jackpiner when we were kids...I loved riding his bike in tight woods as it performed so much better than my Penton 125 steel tanker.

I have heard the black engine, early 250's were a bit brittle compared to the later silver engines as the early ones were based off the 175. If you aren't a POG (Penton Owners Group) member already, it might be worth looking into...lots of info from that Group.

78 RM250C2 is done. Yes, looks the same as before, but previous build was just cosmetic. This time blasted/repainted frame and completely went through the motor.

John, the bike looks nice. I am looking to get a pipe and silencer made for a 77 RM125. Who made the silencer??

Not sure this counts, especially after seeing you guys going full resto, but I put some lipstick on my favorite pig. Frame guards are coming to help hide a few more scars.

I know you offered to buy last summer, but at this point I don't think I'll ever be able to sell this one. I've now got more money in this thing than it retailed for back in '94.

Whats the best way to get the dents out of the bottom frame tubes? Weld on and use a slide hammer, or drill from behind, hammer out with punch, and weld the holes in? Then what do you do with a powder coated frame? Just doing all I can to clean up the bike, and not sure about the dents.
