I started out building a 1972 Penton Jackpiner but found a guy in Oregon who needed it for a road racing class. I ended up with a 1973 Penton Harescrambler. I am ready to race motocross and cross country races. Can't wait for the weather to break.

Nice stable of bikes you have there....
A buddy had a blue 175 Jackpiner when we were kids...I loved riding his bike in tight woods as it performed so much better than my Penton 125 steel tanker.
I have heard the black engine, early 250's were a bit brittle compared to the later silver engines as the early ones were based off the 175. If you aren't a POG (Penton Owners Group) member already, it might be worth looking into...lots of info from that Group.
